Information we collect and why

When you enquire about a meeting room, we use the name, email address, optional phone number, preferred date and time, number of attendees, and any other details you provide to answer your enquiry, check availability, provide a price, and arrange a booking. We process booking requests to take steps requested by you before entering into a booking agreement. We use the details in other general enquiries to respond to you.

We do not add you to a marketing mailing list simply because you sent a meeting room enquiry.

Where the information goes

If you use our Facebook or Instagram form, you submit your details through Meta’s platform and Café Bar Tíminn receives the enquiry. Staff who handle enquiries and bookings may access it. Our email and website service providers may process information needed to deliver and store messages. We do not sell enquiry details.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only as long as needed to respond and manage a potential booking. We delete enquiries that do not become bookings within 12 months of the last contact. If a booking is made, related records may be kept longer where needed for accounting or other legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, or raise a concern by emailing . You may also contact Persónuvernd, the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, about a data protection concern.
